Highland Ranch started as the dream of a little girl who told people she had horses under her bed and in her grandfather's garage.

She loved horses!  She drew horses, read about them, and gave her brothers and sister horseback rides on her back.

The dream to have a horse was put on hold until many years later...

The girl, now a grown woman, moved from Salt Lake City, Utah back to Idaho with her husband, Edwin, where they bought a forty acre piece of property.  One of the first things they did as a newlywed couple was to buy two Tennessee Walking Horses.  That was eleven years ago.

At Highland Ranch, we breed and raise top-of-the-line Tennessee Walking Horses.  Our foals are sired by World Grand Champion stallions.  Our broodmares hail from the great Pride's Generator and his son JFK.

We enjoy our horses.  They have daily hands-on care from the time they are born. We compete on the WIWHA circuit in the Pacific Northwest and also in California where we have horses in training with Scott Benham at Golden West Farms.
